September 7, 1952—April 20, 2020

Thomas Joseph Meehan was born on September 7, 1952, in Philadelphia, PA, the son of Thomas J. Meehan and Helen A. Johnson. He was one of five sons and four daughters. Thom was baptized on September 28, 1952 at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Philadelphia, PA. He attended Most Blessed Sacrament Parish School from 1958 to 1965, Saint Andrew Parish School, Drexel Hill, PA, from 1965 to 1966, and Monsignor Bonner High School, Drexel Hill, from which he graduated in 1970 . . .

Augustinian Volunteers and COVID-19

As the COVID-19 virus has become a global pandemic, the leadership of the Augustinian Volunteers remains committed to the health and safety each volunteer, the communities in which they serve and the common good. Out of an abundance of caution, AVs serving in Chulucanas, Peru have returned to the United States for an indefinite period of time. Though restrictions are in place in all domestic service locations, volunteers continue to serve remotely or as essential workers when appropriate, while following the guidelines set forth in each city. As an organization we are closely monitoring this unfolding crisis as new information becomes available daily…
