The Augustinian Fund

We are proud to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Augustinian Fund throughout the 2026-2027 fiscal year!

Established in 2006, the Augustinian Fund supports the mission of the Province of St. Thomas of Villanova in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts. The Fund builds a reliable source of annual revenue to assist the Province in meeting its financial responsibilities.

Support the Augustinians

Years ago, the friars’ earned salaries were sufficient to cover all our expenses. Today, however, with fewer friars in active ministry and salaried, we must rely on the generosity of friends and benefactors to help us sustain and grow our way of life and the ministries. Gifts to the Augustinian Fund light the way: offering financial support for the care of our elderly and infirm Augustinian Friars, the education and training of new members of the Augustinian Order, and for Augustinian ministries that serve the poor and marginalized in foreign missions in Japan and Peru and the Province’s Justice and Peace initiatives.

The Augustinian Fund illuminates the future of the Augustinian Order, one rooted in compassion, unity, and service with one mind and one heart. Thank you to everyone who has supported this important endeavor over the last 20 years – every gift, no matter the size, makes a difference in the lives of our friars.

Augustinian Fund Priorities

The Augustinian Fund fuels everything we do at the Province of Saint Thomas of Villanova. Every gift strengthens the Augustinian way of life: caring for our elder friars, forming the next generation, and supporting ministries that lift up the poor and marginalized. Your generosity also helps extend our mission around the world, from outreach in Japan and Peru to programs that promote justice and peace here at home.

Ways to Give

There are many ways to support our ministries and the Augustinian way of life. Please consider a gift to the Augustinian Fund to ensure a strong presence of Augustinians in our schools, parishes, and ministries now and into the future.

Donate: Online, Phone, Mail

Donor-Advised Funds

A donor-advised fund is a charitable investment account for the sole purpose of supporting charitable organizations you care about. DAFs are the fastest growing charitable giving vehicle in the U.S. because they are one of the easiest and most tax advantageous ways to give.

Qualified Charitable Distribution (IRA)

If you are 70 ½ or older, you may be eligible for a Qualified Charitable Distribution which allows you to make a gift to the Augustinians from your IRA without paying income tax on the amount transferred.

Stock, Bonds, Mutual Funds

Gifts of appreciated stock, bonds and mutual funds are popular options for charitable gifts, offering both tax benefits to the donor and much-needed support to the Augustinians.

Legacy Giving: Wills, Trusts, Estates

Please consider including the Augustinians in your estate plan. By doing so, you assist the Augustinians in strengthening our mission and our presence in our ministries.

The Legacy of

St. Augustine in the Catholic Church

Augustine was a thoughtful, empathetic, and loving servant of God. He valued community, welcomed others, and treated them the way they deserved to be treated. Augustine also laid the foundation for the Order of St. Augustine. The Order continues to explore ways to care for those in great need both in our Province work throughout Massachusetts, New Jersey, and surrounding states and in our greater missions throughout the world.

We invite you to continue to learn about St. Augustine, his life, and his teachings.
