This Day in Province History: July 24, 1877

A mission church of St. Nicholas of Tolentine Parish, Atlantic City, was completed and dedicated this day under the patronage of Saint Monica. It remained under the care of the Augustinians until 1894, when it was transferred to the care of the diocese of Trenton.
