Fr. Arthur Ennis was born on this day in 1922 in Brooklyn, New York. He served in many significant positions in the Province and the Order and was the first director of the Augustinian Historical Institute at Villanova University. He published a comprehensive history of the Province’s first decades No Easy Road: The Early Years of the Augustinians in the United States, 1796-1874.
