Please note that there will be no meeting on Wednesday, November 5. The meetings will resume on Wednesday, November 11.
Join us for a Lay Augustinian journey through the great love story of salvation history. Guided by St. Augustine’s insight that “the New Testament lies hidden in the Old, and the Old is revealed in the New,” we will explore the covenants of God from Adam to Christ and discover how Scripture captures the restless heart of our Catholic faith.
The new 12-week group study program will be hosted every Wednesday evening at 7:30 PM EST via ZOOM, beginning on September 24, 2025. While encouraged, you do not need to attend every week in order to enroll and participate in this 12-week program. You will receive the Zoom link when you register. (Please note that the Zoom link will be the same from week to week, so you only need to register once to have access to all the sessions.)
Program Overview
In this course, we will explore key questions such as: What is the Bible? Where does it come from? What is its purpose? How salvation history is a story of covenants, what a covenant is and why they are important.
The course will survey the principal covenants that God made with his people through figures such as Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and David and how each of these covenants points forward to—and is fulfilled by—Jesus Christ and his Church through salvation history.
Each week will consist of a video lesson followed by review questions to be answered and discussed with the group, led by Lay Augustinian program leader Andrew Bustillo.
