One of the newest foundations of Augustinian life has taken root in Vietnam. A community opened there in August 2019, and already by June 2021 it has twelve members, eleven of whom are Vietnamese-born. The community is composed of four friars who are priests (three of them are Vietnamese born, and did their formation in Australia), two simply professed studying theology, and six pre-novices. The numerically small Australian Province of the Order took up the initiative to lay a foundation in Vietnam some years ago. We congratulate them for their zeal and look forward to their continued growth.
