Sympathy Mass card featuring Saint Monica writing to her son, Augustine.
This stunning icon of Saint Monica was written by Augustinian Friar and artist Fr. Richard Cannuli, O.S.A. In it, St. Monica holds a scroll with her last heartfelt request to her loving son. She asks him to remember her at the altar of the Lord. Inside are words from St. Augustine’s sermon 172. These words remind us to temper our grief with faith and hope.
This sympathy Mass card serves as a meaningful and comforting gesture for those experiencing loss. It provides solace through the powerful intercession of St. Monica and the inspiring teachings of St. Augustine.

The Augustinian Guild
The Augustinian Guild began as a ministry of prayer, sharing the spiritual riches of the Augustinian Friars. Individuals enrolled in the Guild, whether living or deceased, benefit from our Masses, prayers, and ministry. Furthermore, Mass card donations to the Guild support our Province Mission and care for elderly friars. These donations also help train new Augustinians. By enrolling in the Augustinian Guild, you become part of a spiritual community. This community is dedicated to faith, hope, and charity. Your contributions help us continue our mission of spreading the love of Christ. They also support the friars who have dedicated their lives to His service.
The Augustinians
Saint Augustine believed God is best discovered in the company of friends. Therefore, we seek and serve God together. Our religious life centers on community living. We share possessions, prayers, and ministry. Additionally, we serve wherever the Church needs us: as pastoral ministers, missionaries, and chaplains. We also serve as social workers, teachers, scholars, writers, counselors, musicians, and artists. Our diverse ministries reflect our commitment to addressing the varied needs of the Church and the world. By living and working together, we strive to embody the spirit of St. Augustine. We foster a community of love, learning, and service.
