In the midst of this pandemic, a lot of people are experiencing feelings of sadness, anxiety, fear, and isolation. Saint Rita, because of various events in her own life, dealt with all of these feelings too, and she pressed on because she deeply trusted in the Lord. That’s a great message to proclaim today and always. Let us be living witnesses of perseverance, hope, and deep faith in God, as modeled by Saint Rita of Cascia.
On May 21st at 11:30 am, EWTN broadcasted Saint Rita’s Feast Day Mass. Even though people have had to take a rain check on visiting the Shrine in person this year, their virtual presence ensured us that the message and story of Saint Rita’s life lives on!
