Ways to Give

Ways to Give

The Augustinian Fund fuels everything we do at the Province of Saint Thomas of Villanova. Every gift strengthens the Augustinian way of life: caring for our elder friars, forming the next generation, and supporting ministries that lift up the poor and marginalized. Your generosity also helps extend our mission around the world, from outreach in Japan and Peru to programs that promote justice and peace here at home.

There are many ways to support our ministries and the Augustinian way of life. Please consider a gift to the Augustinian Fund to ensure a strong presence of Augustinians in our schools, parishes, and ministries now and into the future.

Donor-Advised Funds

A donor-advised fund is a charitable investment account for the sole purpose of supporting charitable organizations you care about. DAFs are the fastest growing charitable giving vehicle in the U.S. because they are one of the easiest and most tax advantageous ways to give.

Qualified Charitable Distribution (IRA)

If you are 70 ½ or older, you may be eligible for a Qualified Charitable Distribution which allows you to make a gift to the Augustinians from your IRA without paying income tax on the amount transferred.

Stock, Bonds, Mutual Funds

Gifts of appreciated stock, bonds and mutual funds offer tax benefits to the donor and much-needed support to the Augustinians. Please contact Madonna Sutter, Director of Advancement & Communications at madonna.sutter@augustinian.org or call (267) 272-3048 for transfer instructions. Please provide the name of the stock and number of shares you wish to donate.

Legacy Giving: Wills, Trusts, Estates

Please consider including the Augustinians in your estate plan. By doing so, you assist the Augustinians in strengthening our mission and our presence in our ministries.

Events

Attend one of our in-person or virtual events to engage with members of our lay and Augustinian community to support our mission, values and programs.

Memorial Bricks

With an Augustinian memorial brick you can memorialize a stone in the walkway in the St. Thomas of Villanova Garden.

Augustinian Mass Cards

The Augustinian Guild provides Augustinian Mass Cards to offer sympathy in remembering a loved one, to celebrate life’s joys, or to thank others for their kindness.

The Legacy of

St. Augustine in the Catholic Church

Augustine was a thoughtful, empathetic, and loving servant of God. He valued community, welcomed others, and treated them the way they deserved to be treated. Augustine also laid the foundation for the Order of St. Augustine. The Order continues to explore ways to care for those in great need both in our Province work throughout Massachusetts, New Jersey, and surrounding states and in our greater missions throughout the world.

We invite you to continue to learn about St. Augustine, his life, and his teachings.
