This Day in Province History: August 6, 1899

On this Sunday Archbishop Sebastiano Martinelli blessed a new bell for St. Thomas of Villanova Church on Villanova’s campus. The 2,000 pound bell was the gift of Mr. & Mrs. James Callanan of Rosemont and was hung in the east tower on August 14th.
