This Day in Province History: July 31, 1961

Fr. Edward McCarthy, appointed by Provincial, Fr. James Donnellon as President of the newly founded Biscayne College, arrived in Miami to begin the project with a promise of 50 acres from the diocese and a gift of $500,000 from a benefactor to construct the first building.
