This Day in Province History: June 6, 1914

The Church of St. Nicholas of Tolentine in Atlantic City was solemnly consecrated on this day by Apostolic Delegate, Giovanni Bonzano, during the pastorate of Fr. John McShane.

We Augustinian Friars of the Province of Saint Thomas of Villanova, join the voices and prayers of countless people, shamed and outraged at the killing of Mr. George Floyd, to lament, as well, the failure of our nation to secure the full measure of justice to our black brothers and sisters, and to all who are denied human dignity.

This Day in Province History: June 4, 1878

Fr. Joseph Coleman was transferred from the Irish Province to the American Province by decree of the Prior General, Giovanni Belluomini, and was to serve in various roles in both the Villanova Province and Italian Mission of Philadelphia.

Solidarity and Hope in the Pandemic

On Sunday March 15th, the Peruvian President addressed the nation and announced a complete and immediate quarantine across the country requiring all by essential services to remain in their homes as a response to the growing coronavirus pandemic.

St. Augustine Prep Students Lead by Example

St. Augustine Prep students demonstrate Augustinian Values during the pandemic by helping out their community in a variety of ways. They have sewn masks for their local healthcare workers, delivered food to senior citizens, and distributed hot meals to those in their community.

This Day in Province History: June 3, 1922

The Province acquired for $21,000 at auction, eighteen acres of land on Serpentine Road on Staten Island, in order to transfer Augustinian Academy there from its original site on the property of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish.
